Diamond Valley, Diamond Quanta’s Petaluma operations and process development center. Petaluma, California.
The Petaluma site will serve as Diamond Quanta’s primary California operations and process development center, while the company’s Mountain View location remains its headquarters. Facility preparation and initial equipment installation are underway as Diamond Quanta advances from technical validation toward customer qualification and manufacturing readiness.
Diamond Forge 1 is being developed around the company’s Adamantine Platform™ and is designed to integrate diamond synthesis, surface preparation, process integration and metrology required for customer qualification and future larger-scale deployment. The expansion follows Diamond Quanta’s recent selection by HAX, SOSV’s hard-tech venture program.
“Securing the Petaluma facility matters because commercialization requires more than good materials science,” said Adam Khan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Quanta. “It requires the infrastructure to repeatedly manufacture, measure, and qualify the technology with customers. Diamond Valley is where we are building that capability.”
The Diamond Valley name references Petaluma and the North Bay’s “Telecom Valley” history, when communications and networking companies helped establish a significant regional technology and manufacturing cluster.
“Innovation and manufacturing have long been part of Petaluma’s economic story, and we’re excited to see Diamond Quanta build on that legacy. With an entirely new advanced technology industry taking root here, and initial high-level jobs to start, plus room to grow, this investment is a great example of the economic opportunities we’re working to create—quality jobs, new industries, and businesses that choose Petaluma as a place to launch and thrive,” said Peggy Flynn, City Manager of the City of Petaluma.
“Diamond Quanta’s expansion in Petaluma reflects the strength of California’s semiconductor and advanced manufacturing ecosystem. Companies building the infrastructure to move emerging technologies from technical validation toward customer qualification and manufacturing readiness help create skilled jobs while keeping innovation and commercialization growing here in California,” said Emily Desai, Chief Deputy Director of the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz).
Diamond Quanta also plans to showcase the first parts produced through its new Petaluma operation at CES 2027 in Las Vegas, January 6–9, 2027, at Eureka Park, Booth #61850.
