After 12 years and $100M+ in ad spend, Daniel Popa built the tool he wanted for his own accounts. Now it’s used heavily by specialist PPC agencies.

I used to spend Monday mornings exporting spreadsheets. Now I just ask Claude. The spreadsheets miss me more than I miss them.”

— Daniel Popa, Founder of AdPlug

NY, UNITED STATES, October 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Daniel Popa once spent $300,000 in a single day. Not on a house or a supercar, but on Google Ads, during a flagship product launch for one of the UK’s largest companies. In 12 years he has managed more than $100 million in ad spend. AdPlug is the tool he built to take the busywork out of managing that spend, and what he calls the safest way to connect ad accounts to Claude and ChatGPT.

“People assume spending $300,000 in a day is the stressful part. It isn’t, big budgets give the algorithm plenty to learn from,” said Daniel. “The stressful part was every Monday. Forty minutes of exports before I’d had a single thought. I haven’t hit my midlife crisis yet (watch this space), so I built a tool instead of buying a Porsche.”

AdPlug is a hosted MCP server (MCP being the open standard AI assistants use to work with outside software). It gives PPC specialists and agencies a Google Ads MCP, a LinkedIn Ads MCP, a Microsoft Ads MCP, a Reddit Ads MCP, a Google Search Console MCP and a HubSpot MCP in one place. Users ask their assistant a question and it answers from live account data.

“It replaces the export button,” said Daniel. “It’s faster, it never complains, and it doesn’t know what a pivot table is.”

Daniel is self-taught. His first paid job, at 16, was a $50 logo for a gym, made in a pirated copy of Photoshop after a week of tutorials. He then bought crashed Mini Coopers at auction and sold the parts on eBay, until he got bored of that too.

“I get bored of everything I get good at,” said Daniel. “PPC is the only thing that’s outrun me, because it changes faster than I can master it. My backhand is also still a work in progress, but that’s a separate press release.”

The first version of AdPlug ran against his own Google Ads accounts. LinkedIn Ads came next, because his B2B clients advertise there and most tools only covered Google and Meta. Built by a PPC veteran for his own workload, AdPlug is now used heavily by specialist PPC agencies.

What AdPlug connects today:

• Google Ads MCP: search term audits, pacing checks, wasted spend and approved changes across every account in an MCC.
• LinkedIn Ads MCP: campaign, audience, creative and conversion data, plus approved edits.
• Microsoft Ads MCP: search and Performance Max reporting, plus copying Google Ads campaigns across.
• Reddit Ads MCP (new): Reddit performance next to the rest of the paid media mix.
• Google Search Console MCP: organic search data next to paid.
• HubSpot MCP: leads, deals and revenue next to ad spend.

Safety came first, because Daniel was pointing it at budgets he’s personally accountable for. Users decide, platform by platform, what their assistant can change. Every change shows the exact field, its current value and the new value, then waits for approval. Every call is logged, and ad account data is never used to train AI models.

“I don’t trust myself to remember to exclude search partners any more, so I stopped trying,” said Daniel. “AI should remove the scaffolding, not the judgement. My client reports now take one sentence, and I get more time for tennis. We’re both living the dream.”

AdPlug works inside Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT and Codex, and is available now at adplug.app. A free tier covers one platform with no card required, and paid plans start at $29 per month. A TikTok Ads MCP is planned next.
